Paul C. Erdahl
Vice President of Executive and Leadership Development
Paul Erdahl is Vice President, Executive and Leadership Development for Medtronic, the global leader in medical technology. Medtronic does business in 120 countries worldwide and is headquartered in Minneapolis. Paul works with senior management across Medtronic to identify and develop leadership talent, and to strengthen Medtronic’s leadership pipeline to meet current and future business challenges. Specifically, Paul provides leadership and oversight to global Talent Management and Leadership Development initiatives. Specifics include talent management tools and practices, organization and succession planning, and the design of leadership development programs.
A psychologist by training and background, Paul Erdahl started his career with primary interests in the area of Healthcare Psychology, providing support for individuals managing and coping with chronic illness. After interning at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center, he worked as a staff psychologist at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Paul subsequently worked in areas of organization and leadership development at US Bank and Cargill.
Paul joined Medtronic as an Organization Development Consultant in 1997, returning to his primary interests in healthcare and addressing the needs of individuals dealing with chronic illness.
Paul received his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and a B.A. in Psychology from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota.
