Rooms at the Ramada Lake Shore are available to workshop attendees at a special daily rate of $85.00 plus tax. Hotel reservations must be made by Tuesday, August 17, 2004. After August 17, room availability will be on a first come/first serve basis.

Transportation & Campus Parking
Midway airport is about 30 minutes from the University; O'Hare is at least 45 minutes from campus. If flying into O'Hare, leave extra time to get around the large airport and for ground travel.
Airport Ground Transportation:
Between O'Hare and Campus or Hotel: $40 plus/not including tip
Between Midway and Campus or Hotel: $20 plus/not including tip
Airport Shuttle Service:
Omega Airport Shuttle, Inc. provides transportation to and from O'Hare and Midway Airports. Call for the schedule and rates at 773-483-6634 or go to: www.omegashuttle.com. Advance reservations are not required for transportation from airport to hotel/campus. Advance reservations required for return trip. From O'Hare to Campus/Hotel: $25.00 one-way; From Midway to Campus/Hotel: $16.00 one-way. Lower rates apply with additional passengers with same stop. Private sedan/limousine available; call for rates.
Transportation between the Ramada Inn and the University of Chicago will be provided to participants throughout the workshop on a limited schedule. Pre- and post- workshop transportation is the responsibility of the attendees. However, to facilitate departures to the airports, assistance will be provided in arranging taxis and/or shuttles for attendees. A sign-up sheet will be at the registration desk.
Directions to University of Chicago:
From O'Hare Airport, take I-90 east to Chicago. Once past downtown Chicago, exit to I-55 north and then to Lake Shore Drive South. From Lake Shore Drive, exit at 57th Drive (the Museum of Science and Industry). Go west and curve around the museum. Take the fourth right onto the Midway Plaisance and go west to Ellis Ave. Make a right onto Ellis Ave going north to 57th St. Make a left and the BSLC will be located mid-block at 924 E. 57th St.
From Midway Airport, go north on Cicero Avenue to the Stevenson Expressway (I-55). Take I-55 North to Chicago and exit to Lake Shore Drive South. From Lake Shore Drive, exit at 57th Drive (the Museum of Science and Industry). Go west and curve around the museum. Take the fourth right onto the Midway Plaisance and go west to Ellis Ave. Make a right onto Ellis Ave going north to 57th St. Make a left and the BSLC will be located mid-block at 924 E. 57th St.
By bus, the CTA #6 Jeffrey Express bus will take you from downtown Chicago to Hyde Park. Catch the bus southbound on State Street in the Loop. Get off at 57th Street, walk under the train tracks approximately 8 blocks to 924 E. 57th St.
By train, catch the Metra Electric commuter train at the Randolph, Van Buren, or Roosevelt station. Get off at 57th Street, walk under the train tracks approximately 8 blocks to 924 E. 57th St.
Workshop Parking at University of Chicago
Note: Parking on campus is available. However, parking is very limited on Friday, while school is in session. Ongoing construction also makes travel on campus difficult.
