Registration Process

All Project Kaleidoscope (PKAL) activities are designed to build institutional teams informed about and committed to strengthening the science/mathematics programs for which they are responsible. The ideal team includes one administrator with budget/curriculum development responsibilities, as well as a balanced contingent of junior and senior faculty. Registrations received after scheduled deadline will be considered on a space-available basis.

A complete registration includes:

  1. A one-page description of current local efforts that address specific issues raised at the assembly, including successes achieved and difficulties encountered; the appropriateness of the proposed team should also be described. The description must be in 12-point font (with one-inch margins on all sides). Please include the following heading on the each page:
    • Name of Institution
    • Descriptive Title
  2. one-paragraph resume of each member of the proposed team
  3. completed 2003 Assemblies Registration Form
  4. letter from the president or chief academic officer of the institution endorsing the registration
  5. question that your team would like to have addressed in the opening session at the assembly

NOTE: If your institution has received a Keck/PKAL Consultation, please include in registration a brief update on recent follow-up activities in response to the consultants' report.

Registrations may be submitted by fax if originals follow in regular mail.

Assembly Fees

The assembly fee is:

  • $300.00 per person for an individual registration
  • $250.00 per person for a team registration of 2-5 individuals
  • $225.00 per person for a team of 6 or more.
Registration fees include meals and assembly materials. Participants or their institutions pay the cost of travel and lodging. Institutions will be invoiced upon assembly acceptance.
