Politics: How to lead?

It is not enough to have a vision and a clear understanding of one's current environment. One must also possess an ability to lead. The professional training of STEM faculty rarely includes reflection or study of leadership theory and practice. Yet, all STEM faculty are called to be leaders in some capacity at some time during their career.

Included in these pages, you will find practical leadership advice for faculty and administrators. Discussions of the roles and responsibilities of leaders are included. In addition, you will find assessment tools for use in identifying the need for change and in catalyzing fellow colleagues to take action.
