Assessment is critical in ascertaining what works to promote student learning. This session will demonstrate assessment strategies at the course level and at the program level. At the course level, participants will develop concise teaching goals and objectives for their courses and will discuss how assessments can inform course outcomes. At the program level, participants will explore how the engineering department at the University of Denver developed and implemented an assessment plan based on student work that provides feedback to faculty about the success of the curriculum.
