People and networks

Through the development and nurturing of strong networks of key individuals working to transform SME&T education, PKAL seeks to provide regular opportunities for the exchange of ideas and materials, in addition to offering advice and counsel in the adapting of those resources. As the practice of science becomes more interdisciplinary, it is critical to have dialogue and relationships that cut across fields, that goes beyond traditional disciplinary networks. Such community building is crucial in battling the sense of isolation that is often a barrier to becoming a successful agent of change and building a critical mass of leaders committed to student success.
