Mathematics Position - Westminster College

Westminster College seeks applications for a full-time, tenure track position in Mathematical Sciences at the rank of assistant professor or higher based upon qualifications. The position begins in August 2009. The successful candidate will teach beginning and service courses in mathematics as well as intermediate and upper division courses in the mathematics major. Upper division courses may include analysis, algebra and/or statistics. An earned doctorate in mathematics, statistics or a related field is preferred. A strong commitment to total student development is required including student-centered learning, familiarity with the goals of reform mathematics, scholarly activities, academic advising, and the use of technology to engage students. The successful candidate will also be expected to teach in the Westminster Seminar Program. Preference will be given to those candidates with experience using graphing calculators, Minitab, and Maple or similar software.
