Abstract:

Oakton Community College is implementing the NSF project, Partnership to Increase STEM Enrollment and Student Success. The project consists of six components: the Summer Bridge Program, the Peer Tutor Training Program, the Student-Industry-Teacher Simulations, Study Sessions, STEM Success Seminars and the STEM clubs. Through these numerous activities and partnership with local high school districts, the goal of this project is to increase the number of high school and Oakton students who pursue and receive degrees in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
