Research based curriculum design and assessment

This interactive session will stress the research foundations of curriculum design that support student learning in the sciences. We will explore what we know about how students learn, the role of experiential learning and prior knowledge and what it means for our course delivery. Finally we will examine some assessment methods beyond the traditional test taking.
