People making a difference in institutional transformation

The focus of PKAL, 2004 - 2006, is on institutional transformation, and all activities are grounded on the premise that if the current momentum to transform the undergraduate STEM learning environment is to be sustained, there must be:

  • an informed cadre of leaders taking advantage of new opportunities facing their campus community, faculty who have analyzed advances in scientific and technological fields and who recognize how those advances call for a reexamination of the present culture, of the policies and practices that shape that culture
  • buy-in at the institutional level to support the work of these leaders.
