2004-2006 Leadership Initiative Seminar
2004 PKAL LI Leadership Seminar: Science for All- Atlanta, Georgia
November 12 - 14, 2004
The topic under discussion is "science for all." The teams participating will address two dimensions of this topic as it relates to their institution: i) ensuring the success of groups currently under-represented in the study and practice of STEM fields; ii) general education programs that bring all students into the STEM classrooms and bring them to a deeper understanding of what "doing science" means. There will be ample time for personal reflection, engagement within the individual teams, formal discussions, as well as opportunity to discuss expectations and logistics for the working collaboration with PKAL and with other initiative institutions.
